Ukhia Valukia Palang High School Women’s Football Team has been felicitated as district level champions in football at the 49th National Inter-School Summer Sports Competition 2022 at Cox’s Bazar for appropriate training in sports.
The training institutes welcomed the winners at the school premises on Monday, September 26 at noon.

They said that the private development organization Friendship is implementing a unique project for local school students and Rohingya children and adolescents. From the beginning, the Office of the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) has been supporting this kind of great initiative.
Through Vramman Sports Library and Club Center, students of 6 schools of Ukhiya refugee area in Cox’s Bazar including Valukia Palong High School were trained. The Dutch organization Clubu is the founder of the world-famous French football club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and the sporting club that supports sports in refugee camps.
Ahmed Taufiqur Rahman, the assistant director of the organization that organized the training, said that due to the arrival of the Rohingyas, the education and talent development of the locals faced a lot of challenges.To solve such problems, Rohingya and local children of Ukhiya refugee area have been trained in sports for more than a year. They brought benefits in the training given to the students of 7 schools including Sonapara Secondary School, Morichya Palang Secondary School, Valukia Palang Secondary School, Palang Ideal Adarsh High School, Ukhia Government Multipurpose Secondary School, Palongkhali Secondary School of Cox’s Bazar Ukhia Upazila.
